In 1876, the Mayor of Pau, Aristide de Montpezat, who is an ancestor of the current prince consort of Denmark, had the town buy the Beaumont estate which belonged to the Count of Noailles.

The villa gardens represent the current park.

Society gatherings took place in the indoor garden of the winter palace under its magnificent glass roof.

Quite naturally, private games were organised on this huge property.

Today, access to the Casino takes place via the Alfred de Musset Alley and the Conference Centre occupies the rest of the building.

The building was completely restored and an inauguration took place in 2001.
