Weekend "Golf at the foot of the Pyrenees"

Spend a weekend discovering the incomparable atmosphere on the Pau golf courses at the foot of the Pyrenees: to begin with the illustrious Pau Golf Club, the oldest golf course on the European mainland which was built in 1856, with its "so British" influences; a historical course in the heart of the town, and quite a technical one at that. Not to be missed!

Then on the outskirts of the town, the Blue Green of Artiguelouve, which is a more recent golf course on a magnificent site where palm trees and stretches of water are scattered here and there.

This huge internationally-famous course, which is set out in a long line, is situated on the edge of the Gave de Pau mountain river.

Just next door to the golf course the road will take you to the Jurançon vineyards to enjoy a taste of the exquisite wine available there.

Finally, you will discover the treasures of Henry IV's city with its castle, parks and the famous boulevard des Pyrénées, which has placed it at the top of the holiday resort category since the 19th century.

Blue Green Artiguelouve: 18 holes, 5639 m, designed by Jean Garaïalde. Flat land with numerous "dog-legs", stretches of water and large greens. A third of the course is narrow and tactical in a wooded area, the remainder of the course has wide fairways which favours long shots.
