The Museum of the Resistance and Deportation

This place of memory has recently been established in the Lawrance villa, in the heart of the park bearing the same name.

The project was made possible thanks to former members of the Resistance movement, ex-servicemen and prisoners.

The museum was inaugurated on 10 March 2007 and contains numerous objects, posters and models from this difficult period in the history of Bearn.

The donations made by individuals were registered by ex-servicemen and have been put on display in the museum, which is unique in the Departement.

The Museum of the Resistance and Deportation thus perpetuates the memory of this period for all future generations irrespective of their origins.
