The Art and Culture Museum of Lescar

The museum has archeological collections on local history, dating from before 3,000 years to ancient times.

You can also admire furniture from the Saint-Michel villa, which was a Gallo-Roman agricultural estate situated to the east of the commune: mosaics from the 4th century with geometric representations, sigillated ceramics, offerings etc.

Other objects, found on the site of Beneharnum the first capital of the Bearn in the 4th century, can also be seen (coins, bronze jugs, etc...).

Seasonal exhibitions of modern art are also organized.

The museum is situated in the former cellars of the episcopal palace.

When to visit: Open from 10 April to 6 November every day: from 10.30 a.m. to 12.00 p.m. and from 3.00 p.m. to 7.00 p.m. Group visits are organized by appointment
